When I play a Strike, I am playing the game. When I do a raid, I am playing the game. Crucible isn't the game. Crucible is against other players, not against the game. I don't spend all of my time practicing and playing crucible. How can I compete against those types of players?
I have other things to do. I like playing co-op. But I have never liked pvp. No matter what game it is. You have to spend so much time doing the same thing and I hate it.
So why can't there be an alternate quest line? If you are good and enjoy pvp, then you can complete it in an hour. If you want the other route, it may take days. But I wouldn't have the frustration of dealing with pvp.

Crucible isn't the game? You point your gun and shoot just as if it's the AI lol. You use the same guns and same armor just have harder things to kill. Both crucible and strikes have an end goal. Whether or not is "easy" to complete is on the player. Whether people like it or not neither PvE or PvP quests are going away its part of the game.

Exactly. It's not bungie "locking it behind a PVP wall" it's the player who doesn't want to try and get the weapon. If you don't try for the weapon and do the steps for it then you won't get it; it's pretty much that straight forward
