Honestly what I would like to see if levels and light removed from weapons.. Just go off character level and the weapons impact.
That way old guns would still be viable.. New guns would still be an incentive to try out new things.
I got a Hard Light right before the HoW came out.. Got to revel in its glory for all of a week before I left Destiny until TTK came out.. I come back and it, along with my Dragon's Breath (which didn't get ascended unfortunately), and Dreg's Promise were beyond useless outside of the one single game mode I could do without in Destiny, and that is PvP.
My Armamentarium.... Useless.
Atheon's Epilogue.... Useless.
I understand moving on, as I frequented WoW for a while, but this not being an MMO, I would argue that a gun is still a gun.
I can grab a 2015 manufactured rifle and blow a hole in your leg.... Or I could grab an old flint lock rifle from the civil war... And blow an even bigger hole or take your leg clean off.
Just because it's old shouldn't make it any less lethal.
And I hate how the new raid weapons look.

Well as we can tell its a video game and doesn't represent real life. Example: Shotguns have range in real life, but dont even have half that range in destiny.

Agreed raid weapons look like trash

Bungie wants people to enjoy all the new guns they worked on and not have people use the same guns over and over

Enjoy the new guns then.. But that is not a worthwhile excuse to make everything completely useless outside of PvP. What about the HoW and PoE gear that they rendered completely useless. I mean, I understand where you are coming from, but I still don't appreciate them invalidating my treasures I had finally gotten thanks to RNGesus.
