Some things actually need to be earned. The only time this game actually takes in-game skill is PvP. Dont play PvP, don't get rewards, it's simple.

I got Black Spindle. I had a 0.25 kd in my last Crucible match. Do I have skill? I know the easy answer is no/ridicule, but if you have a Black Spindle, you get my point.

I guess I should've worded my post differently. Fighting AI that react basically the same exact way every time takes a different type of skill.
-
I agree it is a different type of skill, but it isn't just "predictable AI vs unpredictable players." A big part of Destiny PvP skill is picking the right weapons with the right perks and stats, eg snipers with high aim assist, shotguns with shot package. It is legit skill or at least knowledge, but it doesn't seem interesting to me.

pve is just like pvp it's more about your load out than it is skill
-
Yes - loadout, determination, effort. I put those into PvE. I do not put them into PvP. I do my 10-12 Crucible matches a week to get marks like I am punching a clock. I don't switch weapons, I bring whatever I equip for daily heroic or strikes. Others do the opposite (focus on PvP) or do both. That is fine, but it is not the same as skill.
-
I don't think you understand what skill is.
-
You're right. Outplaying AI definitely takes skill.
