As far as saying it's a huge issue, so was "The Royal Wedding"
First off, weddings aren't issues, they're events. Issues imply conflict, not just something that people talk about, dude. :P Yes, I agree just because something's "trending" doesn't innately make it important, but if a legitimate issue (as in, something that actually, negatively impacts people) is trending- both widely and continuously throughout an entire community- it needs to be at least addressed, which Bungie has very specifically NOT done. I.e., it makes it IMPORTANT.
The weapons work fine dude, I can still use all my year one stuff in the crucible.
At least 80% of the community is grounded in PvE activities, not PvP, so this is both insulting and entirely meaningless to most of the playerbase. "I like golf, so why do you care if ESPN doesn't cover Baseball, anymore?" <-- Not a solid argument, bro.
The guns weren't proper for the year 2 mechanics, thus, no Jellyhorns letting you skip bosses all day and night.
Funny, because I was under the impression that that's what the -blam!-ing nerfs were for. Every "OP" weapon (including Ghorn, in case you forgot) was already severely demoted in 2.0, to deal with this very issue across both competative and cooperative arenas. What's your point? Hell, they're even removing perks from Y1 weapons completely, now, so I don't see any more ground for your argument to stand on, as far as Light Levels are concerned. To make something very clear: -Weapon imbalance only negatively affects PvP; NOT PvE. However; -Capping Light Levels only affects PvE; NOT PvP. As such, do you not see the insane amounts of "herp derp" innate to Bungie's decicion to cap gear, now? If a weapon is too powerful, capping it's Light Level only serves to make the game better for MOBS, not PLAYERS.
