Disclaimer: This isn't me having a dig actually something I've found Interesting and want to know more about. Questions: Why do you not like PvP? What about it do you find frustrating? Would you play if you could change some things? I know it sounds like a corporate questionnaire just found the whole PvP PvE argument very at the for front of destiny lately. I used to hate PvP personally but that was mainly lack of skill and decent internet (have since upgraded to solid green bar :) ) now with TTK PvP feels like it has a purpose rather than a augmentation personally.

  • I'll answer your questions. I don't like PvP because I'm not competitive. I've never enjoyed making "enemies" out of friends. I find it frustrating because I can't get things like the sword or the Chaperone without playing PvP. Additionally, quest lines that require victories in certain lists force you to rely on your teammates, rather than personal skill. This isn't bad, just bit something I enjoy having to do. The concept that you can earn Nightfall level rewards from crucible bounties and from PvE activity, to me, was a great idea. It allows both PvP and PvE players a chance at similar reward.

  • I'll answer your questions for me personally. No dedicated servers. I play on a corporate Internet connection. 550 mb down. I still red bar when the game picks the guy with the satellite Internet to host. That's over half the games I play. It's always tiny maps at ranges suited to sharp sticks instead of firearms. It's also tiny teams, where's the 12 v 12 or 25 on 25 matches? Such small teams gives the win to the fireteam doing voice chat virtually every time. And finally its locking gear for a pve game behind a pvp that was shoehorned in at the last minute. It's poor design to force people to play something they hate to be able to play what they like.

For me it's the inherent unbalanced nature of the pvp set up. Every weapon feels like a one hit kill weapon. Or that's just my perception. And honestly I don't like it for reasons I can't explain. I'm sorry if that's vague. It just doesn't appeal to me. Now that said the few times I have played it (I've played more in the last month or two than I did all of year one.) I had a few matches enjoyed. The that one sticks out in my mind was a match in which every one seemed to be using either hand canons, sans TLW and thorn, or scout rifles. I dunno it's just not for me. And this is coming from someone who played a ton of Halo and Battlefield. I usually enjoy shooters with objective based game types. Maybe my preferences are changing.
