I would go through all the evidences disproving your book, seeing how it claims to be 100% true, one false thing it says proves anyone that claims it is completely true is false. Here is one: earth (through carbon dating and other methods) is itself 4.75 billion years old. Not 6,000 Six -blam!-ing thousand. Are you kidding me

  • The Bible doesn't say exactly when the earth "began", just FYI. It says the earth was created in 7 days, but there are a lot of Christians who don't have a problem with that being a little vague. What determines a day when the sun wasn't created until the 4th "day", and the earth on the first? The sun determines that a day is 24 hours here, but it wasn't in existence until 3 days after earth was even created. How long could those days have actually been? The Bible also seems to imply that the earth was created in a "mature" state, so who's to say that in a Christian's mind (that believes the earth is 6 to 10,000 years old) the earth seeming to be 4.75 billion years old disproves anything? I'm not 100% sure about carbon dating, but I've heard and researched that it's not always the best measurement of time for objects that are seemingly very, very old. I think you have to have just as much faith in that system as it can't be proved as a fact. Anyways, all that to say, there are plenty of Christians that believe the 6 to 10,000 year thing is a little vague in the Bible bc of the order of events in the creation story.

  • I believe in carbon dating far more than I believe someone's diary of conjecture from before the dark ages.

  • Sigh.... Do some research before commenting you would look smarter. The bible does not say how old the earth is. There is some sects of Christianity that believe earth is 6,000 years old but the vast majority do not. Also the bible says God created earth in 6 days, since a day are different lengths in different places it would be easy to hypothesize the length of time before humans were on earth is the length of time of days wherever God is at. And finally you should also research carbon dating, you will see that is not 100% accurate there is a lot of guestimation. There are plenty of things in the Bible to easily dispute, most of which can be blamed on King James changing things to fit his beliefs and the era he lived in. Out of all of the discrepancies you picked some of the easiest defend, which shows your lack of knowledge on the bible/religion.

  • Calm down man, I'm not a religious person but that's just rude. Some people have a part of their lives devoted to religion and you try to shoot it down without any regard.

  • The difference here is not with physical objects but an understanding as being both human beings. Something that can easly be givin from one to another. Also, you used a bad analogy.

  • No, I used a correct analogy. Don't try and downplay my statement because you choose not to believe/agree with it. Furthermore, in your downplay, you failed to acknowledge that this is the internet. JUST CAUSE someone asks something, doesn't mean you or anyone should have to agree with or follow it. So, again, I can ask you all day for what I want, whether its of physical use or of a talkative topic, and you have every right to pass on it. Otherwise, give me that $100 I asked for, or continue your hypocrisy.

  • You have it all wrong. Regardless of whether or not it is the internet does not matter. Life should respect all other lives. It's a shame your mind is not mature enough to understand what i am talking about. If my way of talking or understanding the world is higher than your own, please let me know so i do not offend you. But yes, wrong analogy.
