The sword didn't deflect it, it was something behind him.
It clearly went through the person seeing how they lost health, but the sword did not deflect the shot.
If they were not blocking both of the players would have died.

What is your argument? It would have said the guy with the sword killed him if it was deflected. Play the video on .25 speed and keep pausing it around 9 sec. Then go in game and test it yourself.
