Easier to get a murder machine (a gun), than to get a home for your family.
MURICA!
The rest of the world will continue to watch you in amazement.

How do you compare something that costs (let's say...) @100,000 dollars to a firearm that may cost @800 dollars???
-
Nothing to do with costs. It's because of laws
-
It has everything to do with costs... It's not as easy to purchase a handgun here as most think...
-
If it has everything to do with costs, then why is it so much harder to get a gun than a house in the UK?
-
Because you all were silly enough to give up your rights...
-
Of course
-
I laugh at anyone in the UK looking down on anything the US does when you bear in mind England's history of war, crusades, colonization, etc... that went on for centuries.... How much blood has been spilt by way of English knives, swords, muskets, cannons, and guns???? He that lives in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...
-
I'm no patriot. Feel free to criticise the UK to your heart's content. But if you're going to do it, criticise us for our current shortcomings. Believe me, we have many.
-
Problem is.....we'd both be discussing topics that we have incomplete or misguided information on.....

Problem is...we'd both be discussing with incomplete or misguided information if talking of current shortcomings....

I find if ironic that the world complains about America sticking their noses in other countries business and yet here you are sticking your fat nose in ours...-blam!- off.

Lets say u wanna come to my house and harm me and my family
dead before u even hit the concrete
-
Reality is often a little less predictable, and a lot less pleasant
-
Ya unpredictable to said intruder.he doesnt know im armed. Hes dead regardless i take no chances. Guns arent just for that but also to keep our government in check.our constitution gives us our freedoms and rights. Our guns enforse it.
-
Just out of curiosity, when was the last time you used your gun to defend your constitution?
-
Thats kind of the point. We dont need to because we have the guns.wherever you live because guns are illigal u are at mercy to ur government u have no real freedom even as it seems like it because it can be taken from u and u wouldnt be able to do shit about it.i dont expect to change ur brainwashed leftist mind although i can only pray that u and unfortunate peiple like u wake up someday
-
Thanks for your prayers

There's a word for that. It's called strategic deterrence.

Another term could be "outdated laws".

Edited by Happyjoey547014: 10/13/2015 4:30:23 AMYou do realise what you are suggesting is the very same thing governments of the past, like the national socialist workers party for example, did before they went crazy right?
-
I haven't actually made a suggestion in this entire thread. I'm just pointing out a problem that Americans refuse to acknowledge.
-
Edited by Happyjoey547014: 10/13/2015 4:40:20 AMYou're view, stance? Whatever word you prefer to say that you think a similar way. The point is, YOU fail to realise the bigger issue you create by "dealing" with the current issue you think we fail to see. Americans don't ignore the problem, we just greatly disagree with the proposed solution of banning all firearms.
-
Here's an example. Most drugs, like Marijuana, cocane, methamphetamine, LSD, etc... are illegal. How's that working out? The shit is... easy to get. Do you, honestly... truly believe guns would be ANY different? Now you have criminals aquiring guns anyway,(cus you know they will, let's be realistic) with the added bonus that no random person can resist. There's a greatly reduced 'unknown recistance' factor now. History has shown through many examples why disarming the general public is the completely wrong thing to do. Am I satisfied with how things are now? No of course not. Being satisfied with anything less than total safety is ludicrous. It might be a bit unrealistic to think that's even possible, but you strive for it. However, things will get drastically worse by banning all firearms. That much I am certain.
-
Again, I haven't proposed a solution. If I did, it wouldn't be to outright ban guns. That would be impossible in practice. But surely you can't be satisfied with how things are at the moment.
