I am from Norway (no guns) but i still think that bottom line: the gun is just a tool, you can kill someone with a fork ffs. it's the person behind the gun thats killing, not the gun alone.

People need to stop comparing guns to inferior weapons like forks, knives and blunt objects. Guns can kill you extremely quickly over large distances and are usually pretty lethal. Anyone can attempt to fight off a fork, but a gun... Not so much.

Laser guns are a thing, and any college student can get one of those.

Anyone whose smart enough to go to college and build a laser gun is obviously smart enough not to use it for heinous purposes. They have a future, and they know not to risk it.

Doesn't mean people won't get their hands on guns if they really want to. Same thing obviously happens with other illegal things everywhere plus with the gun restriction there is little worry or preparedness for a mass shooting to happen.
