I haven't actually made a suggestion in this entire thread. I'm just pointing out a problem that Americans refuse to acknowledge.

The point is, YOU fail to realise the bigger issue you create by "dealing" with the current issue you think we fail to see. Americans don't ignore the problem, we just greatly disagree with the proposed solution of banning all firearms.

Here's an example. Most drugs, like Marijuana, cocane, methamphetamine, LSD, etc... are illegal. How's that working out? The shit is... easy to get. Do you, honestly... truly believe guns would be ANY different? Now you have criminals aquiring guns anyway,(cus you know they will, let's be realistic) with the added bonus that no random person can resist. There's a greatly reduced 'unknown recistance' factor now. History has shown through many examples why disarming the general public is the completely wrong thing to do. Am I satisfied with how things are now? No of course not. Being satisfied with anything less than total safety is ludicrous. It might be a bit unrealistic to think that's even possible, but you strive for it. However, things will get drastically worse by banning all firearms. That much I am certain.

Again, I haven't proposed a solution. If I did, it wouldn't be to outright ban guns. That would be impossible in practice. But surely you can't be satisfied with how things are at the moment.
