I've noticed this too with Halo. Somebody at Bungie must draw a lot of inspiration from the Bible.

It's more of a parallel than a comparison.

Still the same in most cases the bibles philosophy is very broad so that peopel can always do just what the op did its why the religion is so well accepted in alot of places

I think it has its parallels. Pretty broad, but still there...terms like light, the fallen, devils, the tower is a refuge and reminds me of psalm 61:3-For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe

Dude people where tuned to salt for disobeying God, he then also drownd the whole world cus they pissed him off then made a family take part it incest to repopulate that world. And that's just the old testament.
