There are parts of the bible that are Jewish Tradition and Law. Then there are parts that about the Word of God.
You have to pay really close attention and not have the vague watered down translations to know which is which.
That's why it's just important to follow what Jesus taught. Even he was being persecuted for not following Tradition or agreeing with the Laws. Jesus was all about ignoring the BS and doing what's right.

So to understand the bible, you have to have a fluent understanding of both Hebrew and Jewish customs. That actually makes sense
