Respecting someone merely and entirely because they own a gun is quite possibly the most retarded thing I've heard all day.

But MOST gun owners are usually nice people so I would hang around them because they could protect you and if the where law breakers there guns could be removed.

Because they tend to be more responsible than other people who would abuse it

That doesnt even make any sense. Why in the world would a gun owner be more responsible than someone who doesn't choose to own a firearm?

Because they're not going to go out and shoot someone. There is a reason why they can own firearms and others can't.
