This was a pretty good post. Bravo my friend. Suggestion for something else to analyze.....
Why aren't the Cabal on every planet? Aren't they conquerors? Shouldn't they be trying to conquer?
What originally killed our guardians? Ghost revived us in a very random area.
Why is there no food anywhere in the game? Do we not eat?

The cabal didn't come to our system to conquer. The grimoire references the cabal on mars as fleeing from something. It appears it may have been Oryx and were using phobos to launch a counter offensive.

The cabal are conquerors but right now all we are fighting is there scouting party. That's why. There's no food because there's no food. Do you want us to have to sleep 8 hours and take shits and not regen health.

Read the description for the warlock VoG chest armor. They do sleep.

I meant as in we don't need to sleep in game. It happens in the background kinda thing the same way we never see anyone eating but they do.
