Regardless of what people say, there are similarities and I agree and have thought of it. Other examples...when we die "Darkness consumes you", much like when we die sinfully. The light level is our power level...much like our relationship with Christ. The stronger we are in Him, the more powerful we are in the spiritual realm. The different bosses could easily represent the different spiritual demons people face...all monsters, all evil, but different in their own way. Some are easy to conquer and others are a process.
