If used properly it is good to clear mobs and also against bosses. Never just save it for the boss, that is definitely a waste. My regular group consists of all three classes, when the Hunter tethers the boss and a group of mobs at the same time and I use my hammers it is a glorious sight, dead bodies everywhere and orbs stacked up like engrams in the old loot cave, then the warlock clears out the next group of mobs so we all have super again. Synergy, communication, and strategy are beautiful things when used properly.
Defense titans are useful and have their place, but if everything is dead there is no need for a bubble.

Shadow shot+ weapons of light+ celestial nighthawk gunslinger is what you're looking for. Sunbreakers are worthless. You shouldn't need a super to deal with mobs.

You are right about not needing a super. You don't need a super for anything in the game, including the raid. But why take the extra time on things when you can go faster using supers? No super is invalid. All have their uses, advantages, and disadvantages. Personally I don't limit myself to one subclass on any character. I have them all either fully leveled or very close and use whichever one fits the situation best. It sounds like we are making the same argument but you just dislike the hammers for whatever reason lol.

No, my point is that any nerf made for PvP reasons won't hurt the titan in PvE. Damage reduction nerf? Doesn't matter, you hardly need it anyways. Hammer reduction? Do you really need 8-10? Yeah, its nice to have those extra few hammers, but it would also be nice if golden gun shot 23 times and nova bomb could be used like a grenade. The nerf won't hurt you in PvE.
