Push in the right analog stick to activate a shift function for the d-pad so four more emotes can be used. We could have eight emotes quickly accessible at one time without going through the menu to change them. The clickable right analog stick seems to be the only unused button on the default controller configuration. Other buttons would have to used for other controller layouts.
