Like lifeiscrap said, if you want to use new stuff, that's TOTALLY fine! The new stuff looks awesome, I'm not trying to say it isn't. But, if [i]I[/i] want to use old gear, too, it would have NO effect on [i]your[/i] experience, you know? We can both use whatever we want in PvP, as it is (where our choices DO affect other players), so why not PvE (where our choices have virtually NO effect on other players)?

Then use the new guns. Don't FORCE us to use the new guns for no reason whatsoever. Perhaps instead of forcing us to settle with Year 2 weapons, they make Year 2 weapons that compete with Year 1 weapons. Like the Sleeper Simulant, I would gladly use that over other Exotic Heavies just because it's fun to use. The feel of it, the damage, all feel great.
