Just because you can't infuse it doesn't mean you can't use it.
The trend of limiting old gear/weapons to be useful per expansion has always been selective.
Why are you making this an issue in year 2?
You should've known better.
The trend of limiting old gear/weapons to be useful per expansion has always been selective.
Uh, are you refering to this game? First off, the TTK "expansion" isn't an "expansion" in the way strictly MMO-type games use them. In something like WoW, for example, an Expansion is essentially a SEQUEL, for all intents and purposes, so it makes sense for them to drastically overhaul the gear system to reflect that. TTK, however, is not that. Destiny 2 (as in, an actual, numbered sequel) is slated for a Winter release next year, so treating "Year 2" as a sequel is nonsense, no matter how you look at it. So, that- coupled with the fact that, if you'll recall, Ascension was 100% not selective in what gear could be brought forward, by popular request after the fiasco that was TDB- indicates that, regardless of what other games do, Destiny's ecosystem exists on a distinctly different level. :P
