Dear Bungie,
Trials of Osiris is my absolute favorite thing to do in Destiny. I only play PvE to get better gear for PvP, and I've been preparing for Trials since the release of TTK.
That being said, I do agree with the fact that this bug should not be active while ToO is up. However, I don't believe that postponing the much-anticipated release of year 2 Trials is the best solution to this problem.
Why not just hot patch it now and not postpone Trials at all? We all know that you are capable of doing this, as the Charged Argonach rune glitch was patched HOURS after the community caught wind of its existence.
Show your community that you care by putting in the effort to fix this for us now and not just waiting until it's convenient for you to fix on the next weekly update.
Let me know what you guys think.
Signed,
A hopeful guardian

Because finding what exactly causes the glitch may be proving a bit difficult.

There are criteria that have to be met, such as 3 fireteam members, for trials to launch. Couldn't they simply add a requirement to remove the nightstalker subclass? Granted its unfair to the many who main a Hunter and do not cheat but why should so many suffer because of a small minority?? I use all 3 characters in trials and would be happy with this work around
-
They don't want to code that fixes the shadow shot to break another thing in the game
-
The bigger issue here is hard mode raid coming out before Trials. Higher lvl raid gear is gonna make for bigger light level differences when Trials finally hits. I know the rebuttal: WELL THEN JUST DO HARD MODE RAID!!! Well, I understand and I do raid, but some PvPers don't. Prepare for just another b!tchfest on this forum.
-
I don't remember a hot fix not coming out on a Tuesday.
-
Because they need time to make sure the patch won't break something else. Simple, really. Also, just an FYI, did you know the same guy that exposed the Agonarch glitch just released a video about doing the same thing with the Skyburners chest?
-
It took them a week to fix the agonarch glitch. At Least brush up on fact before u try spewing them out

Edited by Nsawyer74: 10/16/2015 1:41:12 PMThese constant bugs and bungie freezing or locking content does not show well if they are beta testing Destiny. For myself, I'm getting a bit tired of the nerfing, cutting and blocking bandaids Bungie keeps applying. And to add these so called fixes are not done in a timely manner. My time is valuable to me as well as my money. I play Destiny to have fun. As of late the game has become less fun and more of a chore. I personally may have to scrap this game and find something else to play that is more fun to play with out feeling like I'm beta testing a product for a company that seems not to care what they put out. Saying you care about your product and player base is one thing Bungie. But showing you care with your actions are another. Tighten up your act or all that money people will or are throwing at the screen will disappear.

Edited by Lillaourabee: 10/16/2015 1:16:46 PMHow many lines of code do you think are in just the hunters nightstalker subclass? Infact, we need to include armor lines of code, and also the rosters line of code. You don't just flip a switch and bam a glitch is fixed, you have to crunch almost all of those lines of code to make sure it stays stable, and if you find a fix, it doesn't break something els
-
Bungie doesn't give a shit about us, if it don't make dollars it don't make sense
-
It's not that easy to just fix it. Some people think it's easy as shit to fix things, in reality it can be really hard to figure out what's causing this glitch. Ps. Why it took so long to fix the heavy ammo glitch.
-
Am I the only one that couldn't care less about trials?
-
Careful bro, your entitlement is showing.
-
I agree and bump
-
They only postponed it because of the infinite bow glitch for hunters, they always ruin everything
-
The issue is "hot patching a bug" is very risky. It's very easy to fix one bug, and cause 2 more. Taking their time to fix the bug correctly is the right thing to do.
-
-
Fixing the issue and just turning it off are two different things.
-
I think supers should just be disabled for Trials.
-
The rune took days if not at least a week...
-
-
They could patch it now by turning off the perks in the graviton helmet...but then you'd have a lot of really butt sore hunters. (More than they already are)
-
They need to figure out why this glitch is happening. It takes longer than you'd think
-
-
Right? How long does it take to fix this bug..when it benefits us they patch it asap of course
