So a lot of people are bitching and moaning and kvetching about gear and nerfs and OP this and worthless that and weapon parts and strange coins and upgrade paths changing, and well, just a lot of things, and the way I see it is this:
Instead of playing a dynamic blend of PvP/PvE/MMO/FPS, you could be playing basically the same game over and again with gear that never changes, save for a few cosmetic elements after grinding out thousands of PvP kills.
In other words, the very things some people complain so much about are the things they came for in the first place, a console game that changes over time, a console game richer in content than many, perhaps almost all, that have come before it, a game worth bitching and moaning and kvetching about, even when really unwarranted because, let's face it, you're trading a little bit of money and playtime (yes, for some of you massive amounts of playtime, but it is playtime not your profession, amiright?) for what is ultimately ephemeral, just bits that are gone when the last guardian puts down his gun.
So at the point you sit down before your keyboard or touch thumbs to smart phone, think about the hours and days you've spent in the fantasy world and wonder how you got to the point of bitterly dismissing your Destiny, yes, your Destiny, the one you fashioned for yourself, and consider not the entirety of the time you spent making it but each step along the way, the ones you took willingly, knowingly, passionately or passively. I'd bet you thought each one might be worth another.
And then take one step back from the keyboard. Take that thumb off the send button on your smart phone, and refashion your own Destiny. Reforge it in your light.
Beat back the darkness, Guardian.

It's a good day for speeches, but we all know the real work is done out there.
