It can have some pretty crazy range to it, I'll give you that. I'd say a fair trade-off for the range is that it's actually weaker then the melee attacks of the other two warlock subclasses in terms of damage. I mostly use it to finish off people who try to hide and recover or have lost their shields.

Same I have a love hate relationship with it because I have all 3 classes and hate when I used in me but love it when I'm using it
