I see people complaining all the time that they are getting blammitty blam blam blammed by Bungie because Bungie swore you wouldn't get gear if you already had it.....
But the only thing I remember them saying something similar to this was legacy engrams.... It was in the weekly update where they announced legacy engrams....
I continually see people applying this announcement to all TTK drops and complaining that Bungie lied or doesn't know how to code video game RNG or whatever....
Please send me the link that shows Bungie announcing TTK engrams and/or gear will highly favor giving you items you don't already have.
Please don't send the weekly update link where Senior Design Lead Tyson Green says LEGACY ENGRAMS will heavily favor giving you items that are not in your blueprint kiosk.....
That link is here:
Lastly, Xûr will also choose a Legacy Engram every week. These Engrams contain Year One Exotics (at Year One Attack and Defense levels) for players who want to finish up a Collection. They strongly bias towards Exotics not already in your Blueprint Collection, to help fill in the blank slots - excluding Mythoclast and Necrochasm, which are still only available from their Year One sources.

The game will take the player’s inventory into account when generating the loot drops in an attempt to deliver more appropriate gear. This will supposedly lead to players consistently receiving armor and weapons that will make them more powerful without receiving too many duplicates. Additionally, throughout the mission or strike, the loot drops at each location will drop gear for different slots. From a game informer article.

But who cares what they said? They should've just made the drops not suck lol one way to fix this: be able to combine say a 317 LMG with your 315 LMG and get a 320 one.

Anyone see this? I would really like an answer if you can help me. I guess I shouldn't have posted on a Friday night because this got dropped from the top of the forums very quickly by more recent posts.
