Is there anybody that actually helps players new to raids?

So far I've seen nobody actually willing to help players who haven't done a raid, all demanding "experience and 300+ light or kicked" So how are we supposed to learn and get to 300 light? This subreddit only caters for 5% of the destiny playerbase where as the rest of us are stuck doing strikes because nobody has the ability to help apparently Just my experience with destiny and it's community

  • This is what I notice. People expect to much. I went to destinylfg.com the first week raid dropped and noticed. You must have 300 light. A week after must have 300 light and Tom. I beat the raid at 290+ light with no Tom. People set these boundaries where it is damn near impossible for new players to experience content. If you ever need help with the raid let me know. I never mind helping new people as long as there is a will to learn. We all have to start somewhere. When I use to play wow it was a great experience watching new players learn and becoming awesome raiders and I built a lot of friendships on just giving people a chance. If you need help I don't mind coming along to assist. Granted I might not know all the mechanics but who knows we might all learn something together.
