Three of coins are a waste
I spent a lot of time and coins on the three of coins. In total I think I got like 30. I used them all and I only got 3 exotics. Every time I used one, I would make sure that I waited at least 15 to 20 minutes. I got a gauntlet engram. I was excited to turn that one in because I was 307 and I knew the item would be 310. When I turned it in I got a fvcking 290 exotic. Could someone explain to me why I got a 290 exotic if I'm 307? By the way, I should mention that I got it from that super knight on the dreadnaught. So if that effected the exotic to be 290 instead 310.

5 RepliesThe last 3 days I've probably used 12-15 coins between the heroics, dailies and raids and have only gotten 2 engrams to drop.

Well, without them, strange coins would have jumped the shark. Remember the "I really, really, really hope Xur sells X this week" threads? I prefer the opportunity to get an easy exotic, every now and again, as opposed to having 200 strange coins that rotted away in my inventory. The random level decryption can get annoying, but ToC does create a better situation than what we had pre-TTK.

I average one exotic for roughly every seven 3oC. Well worth the investment, especially considering Xur's inventory is limited and more expensive per exotic. And spending legendary marks is too expensive, as well.

I'm reasonably happy with 3oc. It's cool to be doing a daily mission or just a general strike and having a chance to be receive an exotic. I had a good week this week, I received a 310 telesto, 310 hereafter and the new hunter gauntlets at 310 all from 3oc.

2 RepliesThey should change it so that exotics always drop at 310 when you're over 300. It's completely pointless getting them at 290, especially seeing as I have all but two of them anyway.

I would say I averaged 1 out of 5 but I had used quite a few. Still was better than spending legendary marks for me personally.

So you spent 42 coins for 3 exotics and you're complaining? Xur sells engrams at 19 a pop, 3 would cost you 57, he sells armor at 280 for 13 a pop, 39 for 3 and they'd all be 280 and you'd have no chance at different items I think you came out ahead

I'm getting a drop every 2 or 3. Remember to wait 15 minutes before popping a new one.

i just pop a 3oC after every ultra and i got like 6-7 left and out of 20 i bought ive gotten 6 exotics so far and honestly there is no best way to farm exotics from 3oCs its just a chance

They work. And you are not guaranteed a 310, just a chance. Not sure where you are using yours, but I use mine on tier 3 court, vanguard strikes and any named taken zealot. Also, they work well on the ogre for the wormsinger rune.

When you're light level is over 300 there is just a chance of having engrams decrypt to 310 it's not automatic. But I've used over 100 3oC and found them to be well worth it.

Could be worse. Could use 3oC and get Legacy engrams LMFAO Now THAT, boys and girls, would be some funny shit right there.
