Unstoppable Till The End
Del Fino Flagship
Ginger and Phantom rush towards the Command Hub, fighting there way through the Dread that fill the Ship
Alarms blare throughout, signaling the thousands of Dread that remain to converge on them
They arrive to the Command Hub, and find that it has several Dread soldiers still inside
Oh look, new friends.
Phantom leaps at one, twisting its neck as he passes over it, and fires his Anti-Matter Pistol into the seconds face, leaving nothing remaining
He moves to the control console, and hacks into it, locking down the room
Alright.

Ginger paces back and forth, akin to a wolf guarding its prey, ears attuned to the slightest sound of danger. Once in a while, he looks out at the transparisteel windows to observe the massive Dread portal. "After this, we make a break for the hangar. Will you be able to keep up with me?" He makes it sounds like a jest, but a tinge of worry can be detected in his voice.
-
Phantom stands at the Control Terminal, tapping at the HoloScreen Shuffling of what sounds like a army are heard outside the Blast Doors, followed by rifle and cannon fire The room shakes at the assault, but the door holds I don't think the Gunship is a option for us at this point, Ginger. I've breached they're security protocols and fire walls, though. I can open a Warp to the Axion, for you to go through. He turns toward him, and smirks
-
Ginger sighs, not quite dejectedly, but with a certain sadness. "You always did want to go out with a bang, unstoppable 'til the end and all that. If they make it through, I've got your back. If we happen to live through this... I'll take my chances with the Gunship. We've already placed so much on faith." He shoulders his rifle, and draws a wicked-looking plasma sword. "Let's hope it doesn't fail us this time."
-
I've uploaded a virus that will close the Warp. When it activates, all Ships from there Fleet, this one included, will be pulled back into it. Though, in the processes, all Warp Space in the area will be distorted and the power will go out. Those Blast Doors will open, and thousands of Dread will storm in.

Edited by Spyglass: 10/18/2015 7:23:33 PMGinger stares at the ground, stoic and silent, until he finally looks up at you. His eyes burn with a fiery need for battle, and his fists are clenched around the sleek, refining hilt of the plasma blade. "Warp energy would be mutating around us, but it would only affect Del Fino ships. The Gunship wouldn't be attracted to the portal, though it would be stranded here for a while. Phasing isn't related to warp; instead of putting us outside of real-space, it's an ionic transfer of particles from one space to another instantaneously, teleporting. I could get us out to the Gunship... Aye, some of us. Someone will have to stay behind to guard the terminal, less the Dread manage to deactivate the virus." As he speaks, steaming orange lines begin to appear on the door. Focused lasers must be burning through the adamant protection.
-
He grins Seems like you got the jist of the situation. The Blast Doors start to cave as the Dread press there assault Doors won't hold for long... He sighs, and looks out at the Dread Fleet You know how this is going to go down, right?
-
He shrugs, still pacing back and forth by the door. He holds the blade down at his waist with one hand, and his other hand is balled into a tight fist from utter frustration. "You won't have time to finish before they come in. I'll have to take the fight to them, fight them at the doorway where they can't swarm us, and Minerva will stay behind me so I can phase her away. But August... There's no contingency plan for you. Yours will be a necessary death, I'm afraid."
-
He chuckles Heh. I'll admit, the odds don't look good, this time around. He walks over to him But we're known for impossible odds, am I right?
-
Ginger turns around to look at you, conflicting emotions apparent in his eyes. He opens his mouth to say something, but the words never leave his mouth. The doorway explodes, the door sent flying towards Phantom as the Dread begin flooding in. Ginger intercepts the door with his sword, slicing it neatly in half, and then rushes towards the onslaught of foes. The Dread have no time and o space to raise their weapons, and begin falling over one another in a scramble to avoid Ginger's glowing Plasma sword... To no avail. Ginger cuts through them with mechanical ease, and allows another wave to come through the doorway so that he may repeat the process. He takes a moment of reprieve to call out to Phantom "Hurry up! They'll get through eventually!"
-
Phantom nods and runs up to the Terminal, and quickly begins to implement the Virus Damn... He looks back at Ginger, who is holding back the Dread as they attempt to overwhelm him and breach the doorway A few more inputs.... There. He closes the HoloScreen and turns toward Ginger It's time for you to go, Ginger. He throws something over to him, which he catches Tell Python and the others, it's been fun.
-
Ginger catches it with one hand, while still using the sword with the other. He lets the sword roll to the tips of his fingers, freeing his palm for a powerful repulsed blast that blows back the incoming Dread. He looks at the thing Phantom threw, and without questioning what it is he grabs Minerva and brings her close. "It's been an honor August. See you on the other side."
-
He salutes at them Later, rather than sooner. Hard Light Blades materialize on his gauntlets Look out for them, will you, Matthew?
-
Ginger nods and without a further sound, phases away with Minerva
End
-
Minerva uncloaks beside the door. "So Ginger, how'd you find him?"
-
He doesn't even turn around at her voice, opting instead to look out the viewport. "I triangulated his location using his Genesis Comms."
-
"Ah. Good thing I caught up when I did."
-
Minerva heard the gunfire outside of the door "Oh, I'm not sure that you will be... Phantom always seems to have some kind of suicidal tendency."
-
"I'd love to actually succeed in a rescue mission for once."
-
"That day may come eventually... But today is not that day." He turns around to face her this time, and his face is bleak. "Minerva, one of us must die to ensure the portal closes. Nothing we can do will change this."
-
"No. I'll do it."
-
"No, Phantom is already doing it. I won't let another one of my friends die today, you hear me?"
-
"What the hell?!? We're here to save him!"
-
"We already have... Now quick, get behind me!"
see Phantom's reply to my posts
