This is pure fantasy, but what if in some future installment of Destiny, once a player reached a certain point in the game, he or she had a choice of choosing whether to side with the light or with the darkness, and depending on which side was chosen, this would not only alter the story for them, but also determine what side you would be on in an all new crucible event that had guardians of the light vs the guardians of the dark side, each side having their own unique weapons and armor. Let's say holy gear vs cursed gear or gear of light vs gear of darkness. Would you be interested in something like this? And if so, what side would you choose, and what kind of weapon would you dream up?

You'll be able to buy it with silver soon enough or it will come out in the next £40 DLC after you've spent 2 x£20 on the next 2 DLC's
-
Id go dark side and use shadow of aim assist, greatest cheese in the game
-
this isn't adventure quest
-
If we go dark, some of the vex, taken, cabal, and other enemies should go neutral. And we should have missions to have to kill guardians and junk. I mean if we do go dark then we could unlock a completely new side of Destiny
-
This goes against the lore. Guardians have no will of their own, so they can't choose anything. They are the returned dead, resurrected by their ghosts to kill other races and to defend earth by obliterating its enemies.
-
We are all guardians. There is no other side available to us. We are on the side of light, or so we've been led to believe.
-
Well this entire topic is a recycle of a recycle if a recycle of a recycled post. Not got anything original to think or say?
-
ToM is already a weapon of darkness. The first step into this direction maybe?
-
I'm willing to bet in Destiny 2 we'll be getting a Darkness-themed subclass.
-
Dredgen Yur went dark and he was a guardian, I'd like the option as well
-
Just like zenonia? Good Idea
-
Darkness and cursed scout rifle with poison, for only 69$ and 69£.
-
Well sense we could possibly be the bad side already just thanking we are doing good idk
-
I like the idea, but having your entire player base split into separate factions reduces your matchmaking capability by half and leads to arbitrary animosity that really doesn't improve anything. Not to mention that the devs have to start making separate experiences for each faction that is costly without any really strong benefit.
-
So, Guardian, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
-
I would like to see Thorn before it was corrupted
-
Sounds like Star Wars The Old Republic with a choice between good and bad, as well as battles of good versus bad. One time I played as a bounty hunter and snuck into a rebel base. Good times man...

Should definitely be a thing. Would pick the Light side, knowing that gamers always love to choose the darkside. Sort of how many choose Dead Orbit because its black. I'd like to remain unique in the Light.
-
Sounds like something from a long time ago, far far away...
-
Well then the "dark" guardians (which isnt even possible because we are light) would need a new tower. No way in hell could they chill at the tower
-
Buuuuuuuuummmmmmppppp
-
For the horde
-
I would love it if there was also expanded subclass skill trees that unlocked new perks specific to your choice, as well as a new class weapon, and armor to go with it. If I could make my red exo warlock even remotely close to darth maul I would be soooo happy lol.
-
So many people would switch. I think the darkness would win

Me and a friend had a very long talk about this XD
