Even with mask of the thrid man and encore (which makes you lose heath regen) you're gonna run out pretty quick. Time is the most limiting factor on blade dance. If you compare the default time for both blade dance and Hos (with forge master, the most common perk) I'm pretty sure HoS has twice the duration. You'd need to kill a lot of people without using any unnecessary swings to make up that time.
