I don't think many of you understand. The "well it's RNG, deal with it or stop playing" brigade. You people are utter morons, a significant part of weekly events have literally no point to them. The XP/Rep buff is gone and the drops are still shit. The nightfall is 90% a complete waste of time. Yet this is ok to you?
Edit: People still don't get it, you can just BUY three of coins. Why perform a weekly activity when it's going to give you easily obtained consumables? What is the point in making it a nightfall at all when you get better gear from just doing heroic strikes. Consumables shouldn't be in the loot table, neither should strange coins unless it's going to be a lot.

Inproved for me. Got a 309 ghost, a 310 Truth and a 310 Claws of Ahamkara. I'm happy lol.

1 ReplyEven when nightfall rewards were good in year 1, there was still a possibility of getting a bad drop, like 7 coins, or an exotic that you already had. Only the drop rates for certain items have been increased. You can still get shafted, due to an element of RNG. Guess what, you tool, its RANDOM !!!!!!!

Got a 310 jade rabbit from my first nightfall... Still have 2 more to go. Not like I NEEDED the Jade, I already had one at 310... But still a good drop. I get to infuse something else up.

I got 19 Strange coins. I've never seen that many drop at once before. That's an exotic from Xur or multiple chances for 310 exotics if I buy 3oC with them. Not a terrible reward - though it somewhat delays gratification.

Got a 309 cloak. This item was literally not possible to get previous to the patch. So yes, they were improved.

They are like 50% improved man. Try doing it on other characters because there's a high chance at getting weapons/armor at 300+ as well as exotics. Yesterday I got a 305 hacksaw and my second try I got 12 3oC and a strange coin. A friend of mine got immolation fists and a 305 chest piece from dead orbit. That was the piece of armor holding him back so it helped dramatically.

1 ReplyI totally agree with you, I didn't get anything notable in the nightfall, even playing it after the "patch". And i don't know about anyone else, but I play and play and play the heroic strikes ad infinitum, and don't drop anything useful. I am looking for the titan specific loot, but haven't found any as of yet.
