Are you a female gamer who gets pestered, bothered, harassed, threatened, insulted or all of the above?
There are lots of great guy gamers out there to play with but we all know there are some real jerks out there as well.
Reply/bump/like if you're a female gamer or a guy gamer who is cool with female gamers.
Female gamers are here, and here to stay. :) <3

What? Is this a serious post in all honesty? I mean half of the guys on this forum, for reasons i'll never know, make female characters all the time. It is almost impossible to guess that someones guardian is actually a girl unless their gamertag was like ImReallyAGirl_Really lol. Unless you are verbally communicating with someone i don't see how you get treated worse than the rest of us. This is coming from a male view point so please feel free to enlighten me, but in the Destiny universe I don't think the majority of us are treated the way you feel.

If anything why do players have to indicate in their name they are a female at all? I don't understand it frankly. I first noticed this trend in call of duty games. Seemed to me many females used it as some badge of honor to show you they are good as men are or something. Very odd and weird if you ask me. My theory is that stuck in the craw of a lot of guys who are the majority of gamers. I think added to this was many of these same males also will suck up to these females because they are simply female and perhaps they have no female relationship in real life. No suprise right?

I'm a guy and I do shout but whenever I play the game with a girl I get all shy and talk about random stuff ;~; and I've met girls who have yelled at me & others
-
Some guys take the game way too seriously and shout all the time cause they have no time for fun and girls don't I've never met a girl that's shouts at people online
-
Not a lot of ppl have respect. Although this is just a game, some ppl take it way too far with insults, harassment, ignorance, sexist etc. this is not a topic just for destiny, but for a whole community. It just varies within each ppl who plays video game's personality.

Edited by Arrg_The_Pirate: 10/21/2015 11:29:51 PMIt's not just females that are treated poorly although I understand females are harassed for just being girls. People in general are awful to one another online. Most kids who play games are raised knowing there are no consequences to what they say "everyone's tough on the internet" -some famous guy

Yeah, what happen to the notice of all the females that are total beeps....
-
Can't we all just game along, its the 21st century people lets just have fun, and discriminate against the real enemy!!! The squeakers...
-
How would I know if I'm playing with women or not? I'm sure I have and didn't notice. There's no reason to divide the community by gender.
-
The phrase is "I could not care less".
-
You know, I know several females who can game just as well as any man. Wish you all could get a little more respect in the community.
-
I think think girl gamers are the best gamers.
-
I remember a skirmish match where me and two my buddies got mercy ruled. Messaged the other team to pay respect turns out all three were women. Voice messages that's how we knew.
-
Haven't had the chance to play with any female players so I wouldn't know if they did have a problem. But when I play with my friends we BS and mess around a lot while we do strikes, it's all good fun. Haven't had any bad harassment yet of any kind.

I like raidin with girls, very refreshing some times :)
-
I'm 100% fine with girl gamers. I play destiny with my girlfriend everyday.
-
Bump? Don't care your genitalia if you can actually play properly.
-
Honestly it doesn't matter. The community is worst when it comes to raids and other higher level content. Everyone gets treated the same. Bungie release content like a raid and then makes you look for a team off game and still people have to accept you. It's applying for a job. Lmoa
-
I don't care if your a guy, girl, trans, black, white, purple, tall, short, gay, straight, fat, skinny, ugly or a model. Shooting aliens and having fun is my main goal. The only requirement I have in a team mate is... Listen, Point and Shoot.

Females are treated badly in the gaming community for two reasons: 1. Majority of gamers are male and stereotypically females aren't suppose to show interest in video games. Which make some boys 15under during the most immature time of our lives say inappropriate things to push away the female gamers. 2. 10/10 Males get aggressive when it's one female and not enough for all to be satisfied so when that one female finally comes around every guy quickly try's to show dominance over the other males surrounding. It sound stupid but every males does it sub-consciously or consciously. But when the male doesn't get the attention he wanted from via female he lashes out and mistreats the female.
-
I agree but also I have found that ALL the female characters on the game are run by boys . Gulp !!
-
We have a female gamer permanently in our raid team, and she's my wife. We have no issues now but I can tell you that the COD community sure did. I always enjoyed when she was top in the lobby and shut down all the pre-pubescent morons running their jaws. Consequently I also enjoy when my daughter plays and outdoes some of the guys we play with. Makes for a very quiet party chat. Haha
-
This goes the same way for guy gamers being harassed by female gamers
-
This doesn't belong in the feedback forum, I'm pretty sure.
-
Don't mind girl gamers, or guy gamers so long as they don't suck and drag me down in the raids. Just being honest, because my days of shepherding ended long ago when I didn't completely despise the lack of apparent effort in destiny.

In my experience girl gamers get treated better. All the ones I've played with have a shit ton of drooling desperate men following them around. Not that my experiences could represent the entire populace, just throwing my two cents in. However, i do like gaming with girls. Most of the time (not always), i find that guys rage quit waaaaaaaay more than girls. And guys are usually a lot more, shall i say, dicks? I've kicked more guys from my Raid teams for taking down to a lower level or younger kid more times than i can count. Never once had to do that to a girl.
