Female Gamers - Tired of being treated badly?
Are you a female gamer who gets pestered, bothered, harassed, threatened, insulted or all of the above?
There are lots of great guy gamers out there to play with but we all know there are some real jerks out there as well.
Reply/bump/like if you're a female gamer or a guy gamer who is cool with female gamers.

This isn't feedback and hate the term 'girl gamer' but i don't have a problem with girls in this game. I have a few on my friends list and they are all super chill and not mistreated at all. I don't understand why we can't all call ourselves gamers and leave labels out of it. Obviously, regardless of gender it's not acceptable to harass anyone. It will happen of course but thats what a report/block button is for.

I'm a guy gamer but we have a girl in our group. Sometimes others come and go. If you want a group that isn't full of -blam-holes, feel free to join up anytime. Whether its vanguard, crucible or raids, we do it all. Keep on keeping on lady guardians.

I can't really pretend to know what female gamers go through, but in my experience it seems that for every online game I've played, the female gamers are usually the most popular and have large followings of dedicated male ass-kissers lol

I'm female and I couldn't care less. I'm not getting any attitude from anyone whatsoever. No one is belittling me or harassing me. From experience, the girls who get picked are the ones that instigate it in the first place.

Female gamer here. I'm lucky enough to have only met one or two guys who treated me this way, and I'll keep gaming no matter what, but rest assured that anyone who acts like a jerk is not welcome. Male or female. (Plus I play with a lot of guys who immediately trash the rude people anyway.)

41 RepliesYou're operating in an environment with a huge teenage population. You're also operating in an environment with a huge nerdy virgin population. You're also operating in an environment that provides a fair amount of anonymity. Stereotypes exist for a reason. I'm in no way justifying their actions, but if I walked into a PETA convention in full camo with my bow I should expect to catch some shit. You're either a gamer or you're not. There's no need to supplement that with male or female.

No one cares if your a girl gamer, your just a gamer there doesn't need to be some other name attached to it. The only people who treat you badly are retards who don't care, grow a thicker skin most of the trash in the Internet love to mess with people.
