My trip mines hate me. They'll do what you referenced above. Or I'll stick them perfectly in a doorway right as someone is running through and it'll only take them down like half health. Yet...if I walk over an enemy's trip mine...with full health...I'll die instantly. Only time I can actually kill someone with my trip mine is if I stick it to their face. Even then I'll get taken out in the process lol
