My wife is a gamer. You will respect her and act civil or you will gtfo. That being said a sense of humor is required for any fire team. There are always people that like to tip toe on that line though and she has no problem letting them know when they are nearing the danger zone. But she doesn't invent issues. I find that some people (not just women) go into things looking for reasons to be pissed off and have a hair trigger. Be it because they didn't want to be there in the first place, feel inadequate and/or feel uncomfortable to start with. I try to make her and the rest of my team feel as comfortable as I can. And a little humor (silly but not annoying) can go a long way.
The most important thing is; no matter who or what you are, don't take others or this game too damn serious. Have fun!

Voodoo your opening shot sounds utterly void of humor it is beyond sad.
-
Are you sure because that is what I was going for. ;)

This is a world wide game and there are always going to be those guys and even girls! (You lady's are not that innocent ether.) causing trouble. It's a game and if you let a 13 year old get under your skin...... Well theirs always candy land! ( that's a board game!)

"How to blacklist your wife in a single post"
-
Anyone that would "blacklist" her or myself due to that post is not someone her or myself would want to play with anyway. Most adults appreciate that type of behavior from someone. And we have enough friends.
-
And I don't exactly mean "blacklist", more like just plain asking to get trolled.
-
That's what mute is for but thanks for your concern.

I'm not saying that I would but your post sounded like an empty threat that many would take you up on that. People don't like being told what to do, especially do have things "demanded" of them. Plus there will always be those games where one doesn't do as well as he or she normally does and every once in a while, another person on their team would probably send that person a hate message. You can't just demand chivalry and respect from gamers. The Internet will always win.
-
I'm not "demanding" or making empty threats. That's the way it has to be. I'm not trying to come off as tough guy or wanna be badass. You are right though these people do exist but both you and I don't have to deal with them. These forums and a fire team are two very different things. I'm simply stating an opinion here for whatever it's worth and am aware that people may disagree. That is their prerogative. But in a fire team especially for a raid there has to be some interaction on a "personal" level as well as cooperation. If some people can't do that in a polite and civil (while having fun) way then they gots to go.
-
I never said you actually were demanding or any of that, I was only saying you came off that way.
-
Well then I apologize for sounding obnoxious. Not me at all.
-
Not obnoxious good sir, just trying to warn you. The Internet isn't always the friendliest place.
