I really, really hope it's not evil. That would be a massive cliché practically everyone could see coming. Although I do think it's not all we imagine it to be. Didn't it try fleeing Earth when the Darkness attacked, and was only stopped because Rasputin attacked it?

Maybe Joe Staten's story was scrapped because of the whole Traveler being evil thing? That's the only part of the original story I didn't like. It still seems a bit lame thought hat on the surface it seems we are on the good side fighting the evil Darkness. If you didn't read my post before am of the belief that neither side is good or evil or rather it's just a matter of view point.

It never intended to leave

Hmm... Isn't Oryx hunting the traveler across the universe for his worm lords? How many civilizations did the Traveler stick around to help? Zero How many civilizations shot it out of the sky and forced it to stick around and help? One

What card says the truth? Ghost Fragment: The Traveler 2

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 10/22/2015 4:00:03 AMWhich doesn't give you any indication that is the traveler talking, that the traveler is talking to itself, or if the dream is taking place before or after being attacked by Rasputin. All we know is that the traveler influenced tons of civilizations, and then left them to be devoured by Oryx and his Worm Gods. If you read the book of sorrows it flat out calls the traveler a lie. So why is the dream of a stranded, broken traveler any more reliable than Rasputin's report of the traveler getting ready for departure, or Oryx report of the traveler setting up societies for failure?

It left them because it was scared for its life. The Dreams of Alpha Lupi cards are the Traveler's thoughts while in its current coma. The card gives the impression that it happens during our Golden Age

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 10/22/2015 4:42:24 AMTraveler 3 would have had to have been after the golden age, assuming it's referring to Rasputin's crippling attack.

The Dreams of Alpha Lupi are pre-Collapse events that are dreamt of after the Collapse

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 10/22/2015 4:46:42 AMWe really don't have any reason the believe they have anything to do with humanity, or if they're in any sort of sequential order. #3 could just as easily come before #1, and be the cause of the fear in #1. #2 could come before or after either, and the decision to stay could be what is doubted. I wouldn't rely on those three cards anymore than any of the other cards in the deck. And many of those cards aren't immediately clear as to time/place/timeline/Ect

What exactly happened then? I dont have all the Grimoires opened and haven't read much of what I do have, sorry haha.

Rasputin most likely crippled the Traveler thanks to incorrect simulations. The Light cannot be simulated; this is why the Vex fight us.
-
Ah, I guess that makes sense since the Light is essentially "magic". Thanks!

Additionally, the Worms and the Darkness cannot be simulated either
