I think Rasputin will have a huge impact on the story. Not sure if it's a theory or in a grimiore card but I read something about how Rasputin disabled the traveler somehow in order for it to stay rather than to run completely ending the golden age for us.
Also I don't trust the speaker I think he has a more insidious agenda.
