I assumed everyone knew what happened to Destiny's story by now, but apparently not.

  • I've read the article. Whatever happened during development doesn't matter. What matters is what they shipped, and they shipped a game with practically no story. When people talk about why they like destiny, they don't mention the story.

  • This is true. However, I honestly believe Activision is more to blame for the product that shipped. We have Halo, so we know Bungie cares about story.

  • Bungie must be held accountable as well for not getting the job done at the end of the day. They had a deadline and in order to meet it, they had to sacrifice the story. I can't blame Activision for wanting to get a return on their investment by getting the game out there. If it was my money being lent out, I'd want to see a return sooner rather than later especially considering they have a signed contract and multiple delays were already granted.
