Exotic Weapon Quests show ugly truth

Anyone who has Sleeper Simulant or No Time to Explain has had the ugly truth about this game shoved in front of them in full saddening detail. The missions for these weapons' quest lines are absolutely devoid of any story, content, explanation, ANYTHING! Why the hell was there some random ass chest at the top of the tower in the cosmodrome? Who the $&@! Was the Groundskeeper? Why did I have to anger him and then kill him?? WHAT THE F WAS THAT RANDOM CHEST AT THE DIVIDE DOING THERE? Why are there random missions for these quests that are in the same exact places as other story missions, but with different enemies and NO NARRATIVE OR EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER?!? Seriously. These quest lines are the product of some Bungie intern's coffee break chat with their spouse. Game is massively successful and has a major following. Why can't you guys put some effort into these time-walled events? I mean these things are LAZY. THOUGHTLESS. MAILED IN. UNREMARKABLE. UNINSPIRED. SAD. Imagine having any of those words associated with you personally. Not good. They are undeniably tied to your product. Fix it.

  • It took me longer than it should have to realize this but I'm glad it sunk in before TTK released. Friends are the best thing about Destiny. Literally the best thing about this game dosen't come with it. Raids, Strikes, even the story are all better with friends. Alone you see Destiny for what it is though. Stand alone, Destiny is one of the most shallow, tedious, grindy games I've ever played.
