For some reason I get more armor drops than weapon drops. I also have different weapons (and armor) for different missions that needed leveling. And yes, I have used some to get caught up with faction rep. I used to play my titan and warlock equally, but because of this shortage, I main one character and give my leftover armor to the other for leveling and just share the weapons. I remember when exotics were higher leveled than legendaries, but they now take a backseat. I level my main legendaries, then I play catch up with the exotics. When you have gear with nice rolls dropping between 275-290 most of the time, weapon parts are hard to come by. I have disabled exotics for weapon parts because their light levels were too low.
