Me and my buddy over Xbox live where talking about guns in destiny and we thought you guys should make a double barrel shotgun called collateral damage. The collateral damage is a sawed off shotgun that can switch between slug and buckshot. The gunsmith gives you the quest at rank 10 and it elemental damage it deals is solar base element and then can switch to void and ark via upgrade when you get the the rare materials from Mars and moon.It would have the impact of the chaperone. The reload speed chances between buck and slug. For the slug mode it would have a moderate and for the buckshot it would have to be a little bit faster it would be a barrel over barrel type and would be a snap shut reload animation . and is Available for all platforms. Make it literally not able to touch anything farther than five feet but be able to annihilate everything in that cone and I'm sure that's fair for buckshot. Slugs range would be farther but the buck shot would be a lower range.
Quick reload too. Snap it close that'd be cool.[/quote]

You know what this game doesn't have? A solid PvE Shotgun. A Shotgun you could use on a Boss. A Shotgun you would want to use on a boss. Introducing, the Snake's Bite. Its a sawed-off double barrel shotgun that fires two shots at once. It fires Flechette ammunition (look it up). The perks are Snake Charmer (fires both shots at once); Venom (Flechette Rounds cause lingering damage over time, and increase the damage done to the target); Hipfire (bonus accuracy when firing from the hip). The Impact would be mediocre. The Range would be somewhat long. The Reload would be very slow. The idea behind the weapon is to get close and pop an Ultra once and reap the benefits. The Reload speed and low magazine size limit the weapon to a PvE Debuff weapon as opposed to close range DPS as well as limiting the PvP effectiveness. This could be seen as a Thorn type weapon, but with out being a "weapon of sorrow".
