82 times, Bungie. 82 freaking times.
As the title reads, I've run the Shield Brothers strike 82 while chasing those damn unique gauntlets and 82 times I've come up NOTHING. What's even more discouraging is that I've read on threads here and other sites that people have run it in excess of 125 times and come up with nothing as well. Whether or not you think they're stylish, I personally like the look of them and therefore want my Titan to sport them. :)
Now, before the masses decided to impart their "wisdom" know that one, this isn't a "screw you, Bungie!" post; I'm honestly just curious as to other peoples success rates, or lack thereof, when farming these items. Two, I KNOW, as you should know and/or learn now while reading, that these unique boss drops ARE NOT tied to the Legendary loot table of Strikes; they're on their own drop percentage so please don't say, "Do strikes for the buff to increase your chances!" because that is false. You should also know, as I recently found out, that you don't have to kill Big Red or Big Blue first/second. Again, I know it's all RNG but still.
Anyhow, rant and rant alike, anyone else out there farming these gauntlets and coming up short? Flayer capes? Darkblade Helm? How many times did it take you to get yours and/or how many times have you run a certain Strike?

115 times and still nothing. Tried running it on my hunter for a change of pace, though. It's at least a little more fun now.
Do people even READ the post before commenting?
Bungie really needs to add a penalty for bailing on a Strike. I lost count of how many times people flaked after getting the fragment.

They're most useful as legendary marks.

Got them while running it on my hunter. Got the void flayer cloak while running that strike on my titan. Got the titan mark from the undying mind while on my hunter. Coincidence? [spoiler]I think not![/spoiler]

I ran it for the weekly heroic today and got it first try. I haven't run that strike in a week too. Ps. I'm a warlock.

I got them on my first run... 253 light, nearly dismantled them until I read how hard they are to acquire... Now they're simply collecting dust.

All i get are weapon drops. 6 treads upon stars. 3 imago loops. 2 barons ambitions. 1 darkblade fusion rifle. Still no armour pieces.

RNGesus still blesses me and I feel for those who haven't been able to get them. Gauntlets like these should almost be an exotic. I thought you had to melee kill a brother to get them to drop, but I guess not. Regardless, don't give up. They are a great trophy! The Dark Blade helm eludes me though and I wish I could get a better looking mark to go with FWC's shaders......

I got one from a run in my warlock in the first week. Was maybe the third run I'd done? To put that into perspective, I ran the echo chamber about forty times to get my gauntlets - my friend was helping me on his hunter and joined in, got them after about five runs. I'd actually try on a different character. *Also got the Solar Flayer Mantle after the second run of the new version of Dust Palace on my warlock.

Got quite a few of the rare drops just through dumb luck. The Titan helm from dark blade and the arms from the shield bros dropped for my warlock(the helm twice) and my hunter randomly got the arcflayer mantle while running through heroics one day. Weapons allude me still, no last word, truth, or suros. Sucks man

Have gotten them twice in maybe 10 to 15 runs.

I have three hunters and I've dropped the maulers like 4 times. Can't get a Taniks cloak or a Solar mantle to save my life though.

I didn't even know the gauntlets existed until they dropped while on my Warlock. Now I haz them for Titan :D Honestly, I've been fairly lucky with armor strike-specific drops, but screwed on any of the weapons. I just want Imago Loop with Firefly+Outlaw so I can have my baby Fatebringer back.

Got them on my 2nd run, dropped at 292 and my titan isnt even level 40 yet :\

Got them on my 4th or 5th run on my hunter. Also have had 2 flayer cloaks in less than 15 dust palaces. But can't get exotic engrams from 3oC so guess my luck balances out.

Seems like nightfall seems to have a much higher drop rate. Wait for it to show up during a nightfall to get one.

I have gotten the helm, cloak, and gloves all on my titan. Gloves were the only thing I could actually use as I only have the titan lol. Dismantled all of them as the perks on them sucked. The gloves did look cool though, couldn't try the other stuff on. I just farm strikes when I am bored to get more exotics. I know I have only ran the strike in a playlist and probably less than 20 times.
