82 times, Bungie. 82 freaking times.
As the title reads, I've run the Shield Brothers strike 82 while chasing those damn unique gauntlets and 82 times I've come up NOTHING. What's even more discouraging is that I've read on threads here and other sites that people have run it in excess of 125 times and come up with nothing as well. Whether or not you think they're stylish, I personally like the look of them and therefore want my Titan to sport them. :)
Now, before the masses decided to impart their "wisdom" know that one, this isn't a "screw you, Bungie!" post; I'm honestly just curious as to other peoples success rates, or lack thereof, when farming these items. Two, I KNOW, as you should know and/or learn now while reading, that these unique boss drops ARE NOT tied to the Legendary loot table of Strikes; they're on their own drop percentage so please don't say, "Do strikes for the buff to increase your chances!" because that is false. You should also know, as I recently found out, that you don't have to kill Big Red or Big Blue first/second. Again, I know it's all RNG but still.
Anyhow, rant and rant alike, anyone else out there farming these gauntlets and coming up short? Flayer capes? Darkblade Helm? How many times did it take you to get yours and/or how many times have you run a certain Strike?

115 times and still nothing. Tried running it on my hunter for a change of pace, though. It's at least a little more fun now.
Do people even READ the post before commenting?
Bungie really needs to add a penalty for bailing on a Strike. I lost count of how many times people flaked after getting the fragment.

Wasn't even trying just was doing some strikes, came upon shield brothers for like the 5th time since the dlc came out and I got them lol I don't even have a Titan.

If you running a base shield brother strike the rate is low. Rate increases with difficulty. Your best bet is run vanguard heroics.

I've had multiple maulers, dark blade helms and sabre helms with my hunter. Plus my Flayer mantles were with my warlock. But never had them drop with the correct classes. It's bizzare.

I got those gauntlets while doing heroic strikes. This RNG sucks.

I've had them drop twice. Probably only done the strike 5 or 6 times.

I got them, maybe on my 5th shield brother run.

I got them first time and deleted them, I didn't like the look of them lol. I found out a week later they are a strike specific drop and I've never had them again :/

Can't be worse than psion flayers, can't even use toc on them. No idea how many I ran before getting that purple cloak, and convincing people to kill purple last was a pain too.

I always grind heroic strikes to pop my 3 of coins. I had been fortunate to get about 7 strike specific drops from doing so. Even more fortunate was that I got the Mau'ual Maulers early on. But yesterday,... I got the Mark of the Undying Mind and the Darkblade Helm back to back for the first time. Was a good night..

I dropped them but the roll is weak :s I was looking for Taniks loots but now it seems foolish to farm the same strike again and again.

Same boat here man. Got all strike exclusives without trying. Just missing Maaul maulers and devouring maw. Both I want :(. Ran shield brothers over 50 no luck.

I've been getting a lot of strike specific gear that I didn't know were strike specific. I got 3 strike weapons, the Vibrasse gauntlets for my Warlock, Flayer cloak for my Hunter, and Darkblade helmet for my Titan. I was just trying to use up my 3-of-coins, honestly. I guess the trick is to [u]not[/u] try and maybe it'll get you somewhere.

Got one pair (lucky as hell) now I'm chasing for the darkblade helm. But no luck there, as I've ran it over 20 times across all characters, yet, nothing. I feel the pain..
