82 times, Bungie. 82 freaking times.
As the title reads, I've run the Shield Brothers strike 82 while chasing those damn unique gauntlets and 82 times I've come up NOTHING. What's even more discouraging is that I've read on threads here and other sites that people have run it in excess of 125 times and come up with nothing as well. Whether or not you think they're stylish, I personally like the look of them and therefore want my Titan to sport them. :)
Now, before the masses decided to impart their "wisdom" know that one, this isn't a "screw you, Bungie!" post; I'm honestly just curious as to other peoples success rates, or lack thereof, when farming these items. Two, I KNOW, as you should know and/or learn now while reading, that these unique boss drops ARE NOT tied to the Legendary loot table of Strikes; they're on their own drop percentage so please don't say, "Do strikes for the buff to increase your chances!" because that is false. You should also know, as I recently found out, that you don't have to kill Big Red or Big Blue first/second. Again, I know it's all RNG but still.
Anyhow, rant and rant alike, anyone else out there farming these gauntlets and coming up short? Flayer capes? Darkblade Helm? How many times did it take you to get yours and/or how many times have you run a certain Strike?

115 times and still nothing. Tried running it on my hunter for a change of pace, though. It's at least a little more fun now.
Do people even READ the post before commenting?
Bungie really needs to add a penalty for bailing on a Strike. I lost count of how many times people flaked after getting the fragment.

They dropped for me in week three of TTK... I didn't farm any of the strikes but have picked up a few bits of strike specific loot & class items

I could be wrong but these items seem to have better drop rates when the strike is the Nightfall. We ran all 3 nightfalls this week and a flayer mantle dropped each run. Also got them gauntlets you're speaking of when the shield brothers was the nightfall.

I've received 2 in 10 or less strikes

Honestly got the gauntlets on my 3rd or 4th brothers strike. Now the saber warlock helm that took me around 80 strikes to get. It just rng man

Still that's better odd's than going no cape on a Thai hooker and coming out clean. I'd say your still on top. :)

Im so sorry i only play hunter and got these second try and also i got the undying mind mark first try. I still cant get taniks or flayer mantle cloaks :(

I have them. Check my titan. Not sure how many it took, maybe 5-10 something like that, don't even know how many times i did the strike. Got the Darkblade helm when it was the nightfall i think...

I hate when I'm grinding Sunless Cell for the helmet. I always get the assholes who are in it for the fragments and then leave.

Got does not bow on 80th attempt. Literally. At first I was happy as I saw it had the extra damage to taken perk. Then I saw it had 22 mag. Haha balls.

Done the undying mind and other vex strikes many many MANY times and still no imago loop.and yeah still no gauntlets either from the brothers

I farmed for ages to get the warlock helmet from saber strike. Never got it. My friend does heroic version of it for first time and he gets it.

I main a Titan, and my buddy that mains a hunter got them within 5 tries. He also has 3 Jade Rabbits, which I'm currently chasing, so I'm sure pissed off with him

Dropped two times already for me. And many other strike specific items. Just my luck, but darkblade helmet dropped after way to many times. Rng OP
