82 times, Bungie. 82 freaking times.
As the title reads, I've run the Shield Brothers strike 82 while chasing those damn unique gauntlets and 82 times I've come up NOTHING. What's even more discouraging is that I've read on threads here and other sites that people have run it in excess of 125 times and come up with nothing as well. Whether or not you think they're stylish, I personally like the look of them and therefore want my Titan to sport them. :)
Now, before the masses decided to impart their "wisdom" know that one, this isn't a "screw you, Bungie!" post; I'm honestly just curious as to other peoples success rates, or lack thereof, when farming these items. Two, I KNOW, as you should know and/or learn now while reading, that these unique boss drops ARE NOT tied to the Legendary loot table of Strikes; they're on their own drop percentage so please don't say, "Do strikes for the buff to increase your chances!" because that is false. You should also know, as I recently found out, that you don't have to kill Big Red or Big Blue first/second. Again, I know it's all RNG but still.
Anyhow, rant and rant alike, anyone else out there farming these gauntlets and coming up short? Flayer capes? Darkblade Helm? How many times did it take you to get yours and/or how many times have you run a certain Strike?

115 times and still nothing. Tried running it on my hunter for a change of pace, though. It's at least a little more fun now.
Do people even READ the post before commenting?
Bungie really needs to add a penalty for bailing on a Strike. I lost count of how many times people flaked after getting the fragment.

All Ive gotten is Barons Ambition and I didnt even know until a week later when I inspected before wanting to dismantle Realized it was a strike drop so I kept it But, I also dont farm the strikes for gear, seems really mind numbing and dissappointing Id rather run them when I do and if I get a drop so be it.

Just running the Heroic playlist I have gotten: Treads Upon Stars, Baron's Ambition, Does Not Bow, Devouring Maw, Darkblade's Helm, and Mark of the Undying Mind.

I never knew they existed, ran it first time on warlock as I was levelling it up and the quest, and they dropped, was like WTF is this?!

The Titan arms dropped for my hunter on the 5th or so run.

I got them while i was a hunter on my fifth run of sheild brothers i didnt even know they existed till then

6 RepliesGot my own grievence about the damn exotic engrams for sale. 78 strange coins wasted on doubles. And everytime its a chest ALWAYS get crest of alpha lupi....sorry its kinda off subject but not. The rng seems to be completely against the players, and them saying getting the same thing all the time was fixed BULL!

I've ran it like 5 times and got them. Dismantled though, I deleted my Titan. Didn't like her. :/ Sorry this is happening to you bro.

I understand your pain ran it a ton with my character on ps4 bought the game on xbox 1 and first time inget them for my titan rng at its finest.

I've got them multiple times on first tries but every time the went to the trash can

Dropped 4th or 5th time on my Warlock.

I've only had the Darkblade Helm drop twice. Both times it was the exotic sword strike. No luck on anything else.

So long as you dont like the last word, keep on grinding. My friend sent a screen shot of him using that combo, gloves take up half the screen because of how you fire.

I had quick luck with flayer and cloak of taniks, but I haven't had another drop for any other strike specifc gear.

I got it after maybe 40-50 runs. So the drop rate is all over the place
