82 times, Bungie. 82 freaking times.
As the title reads, I've run the Shield Brothers strike 82 while chasing those damn unique gauntlets and 82 times I've come up NOTHING. What's even more discouraging is that I've read on threads here and other sites that people have run it in excess of 125 times and come up with nothing as well. Whether or not you think they're stylish, I personally like the look of them and therefore want my Titan to sport them. :)
Now, before the masses decided to impart their "wisdom" know that one, this isn't a "screw you, Bungie!" post; I'm honestly just curious as to other peoples success rates, or lack thereof, when farming these items. Two, I KNOW, as you should know and/or learn now while reading, that these unique boss drops ARE NOT tied to the Legendary loot table of Strikes; they're on their own drop percentage so please don't say, "Do strikes for the buff to increase your chances!" because that is false. You should also know, as I recently found out, that you don't have to kill Big Red or Big Blue first/second. Again, I know it's all RNG but still.
Anyhow, rant and rant alike, anyone else out there farming these gauntlets and coming up short? Flayer capes? Darkblade Helm? How many times did it take you to get yours and/or how many times have you run a certain Strike?

115 times and still nothing. Tried running it on my hunter for a change of pace, though. It's at least a little more fun now.
Do people even READ the post before commenting?
Bungie really needs to add a penalty for bailing on a Strike. I lost count of how many times people flaked after getting the fragment.

Ive had 3 of them drop. Probably have ran it 10 times or so.

Got those gauntlets and the machine gun from the shank strike, both on first try. Never got any other since. They seem extremely rare. I'd say you're absolutely crazy to farm it so many times. Farming it isn't any fun, and these definitely aren't worthy of the effort.

Lol if you do the strike on a higher difficulty, you get a higher chance at a legendary drop. In that chance of a legendary drop, there's a chance at getting the strike specific gear. Its a toss of coin, well less then that.

I ran Omnigul well over 100 times which is a longer strike to get my Grasp of Malok,

Similar issue with me and everything except for the devouring maw. I want the echo chamber gauntlets but never get em. Only multiple devouring maws

I once farmed a dungeon in wow well over 400 times and never got what I was looking for. Welcome to rng.

Rng is a killer, don't know what else to tell you. There ain't no special technique except for running the damn thing

I've yet to get a strike exclusive gear. Kinda sad, but I haven't played too many strikes. Maybe like, a good 40-50.

Got it as a drop around my 10th run I believe, I know it was early on. I was on my Hunter too. I do like the look, makes my Titan look like he's sporting shoulder pads.

I got the Titan gauntlet like that on my first try , also the flyer capes I got the red one by doing the strike in the weeklong heroic notice now it says underneath it " weekly boost 3 " that means at the end of the strike you get a lil something extra , also if you want the red flyer cape , you save the red one for last to kill , same goes for the blue & purple one , you save the one you want for last & then you should get it

Seriously, Bungie needs to up the drop rate of these strike drops. Why in the hell are they so hard to get when we put so much effort into grinding them.
