I posted this for the community wish list, but I think it's relevant here too.
Sometimes Guardians find themselves waiting. Waiting for the sixth guy to join you in the tower, waiting for people to fly into the raid or strike or daily heroic, or just waiting around in the tower for nothing.
We have emotes. They add some character and life, which is a good addition to the game. However, here's my idea: idling animations.
Say five of you are waiting in the tower for another guy to join you. Your Guardian is standing mostly motionless by the vaults. It would be cool if your Guardian would, every once in a while, do a short, subclass-specific action.
Examples
Sunsinger - Juggles three small fireballs for a few seconds.
Stormcaller - Raises hands and arcs lightning between them.
Voidwalker - Opens palm to expose a tiny void vortex.
Gunslinger - Draws an imaginary pistol, fan fires six shots from the hip, and pretends to blow away the smoke.
Bladedancer - Sharpens two electrically charged knives on one another.
Nightstalker - Draws void bow (no arrow) and pulls bowstring back while taking aim.
Sunbreaker - Flips flaming hammer from one hand to the other, and back again.
Striker - Clenches fist, sends arc energy down arm, and slams fist into the palm of the other hand.
Defender - Forms tiny bubble between two hands.
Thoughts?
Good Suggestions
Make the actions quest line rewards
Include the actions during Trials standoff
Sunbreaker twirls hammer like Thor
Replace sitting emote with these actions
Defender Titan interacts with tiny bubble
Nightstalker balances void arrow on finger
Bladedancer twirls knife
Stormcaller hovers while performing action
Voidwalker teleports void ball around
Gunslinger twirls gun (think Clint Eastwood)
Defender knocks bubble and puts thumb up
Clan/team specific interactions (high-five)
Ghost hacky sack
Striker cracks knuckles - arc goes up arms

Technically there is an idle animation, you know the one where your gun points down? I like that. Adding more shouldn't be a priority or even anywhere near the top of the list, but variety is always good!
