This is true, ran saber strike 30+ times for the helm, stopped trying then when it came to the arc version of it for nightfall, got it first time along with another person in my fireteam.
2 friends also got solar flayer mantle from nightfall as well

I actually received treads upon on my second heroic version of shield brothers but I didn't know it was strike exclusive or similar to vision so I dismantled :/
