Edited by Cruel Squirell: 10/24/2015 2:53:05 AMIt has to be written from the view of Zavala. "Whether I wanted it or not, I've stepped into a war for my heart. So, let's get to sorting this out, one day at a time. The Speaker. From what I can gather, he smiles back at me from under his mask when we pass in the halls of the Tower. But he's protected himself, building up walls in more ways than one. With the right approach, I can punch through his defenses, find out his true feelings, and know if he also gets butterflies in his stomach when we stand next to each other."

OMG That'd be a PERFECT fanfiction starter! :DDDDDDD

Do you think it would work better as a journal style story told in the past tense or a first person narrated story taking place in the present?
-
It sounds a lot better in journal version, but I think mixing in some first person in there would be good! Of course, you're the author, so you decide what is best for you. ^_^
-
Last question, how explicit should it be? I understand romantic fan-fic is sexual in nature, but does how far should it go? I typically write abstract short stories and ranting essays. This is so far from my wheelhouse lol.
-
Most journal-type fanfictions do have the tendency to get explicit, but think about it this way; would you write almost every detail of your sex experiences in your journal? I find it's better when, in a journal fanfic, that the writer (character, not the actual author) writes about how it happened/started (did he/she or his/her lover asked to meet at a certain place, did it start with a passionate kiss and one of them asking to move it to the bedroom, etc), how he/she felt as/when it happened, and the aftermath (or afterglow as some people call it). Once again, it's your call because it's your story.
-
That's all good insight! I'm a dude who's never even read fan-fic before. Seems like it would be fun to write, but I have no experience, so the advice is good.
-
No problem!
-
Well, next time I sit down to write, I know what I'm doing. I've never attempted fan-fic before, let alone between a same sex couple. Challenge accepted!

Send me a link to it when you're done! :D (Of course, if you're using a fanfiction website)
