I am writing this immediately after this experience mainly so I can remember this & because I like off-topic and figured this would interest some of you.
Started trying to fall asleep around midnight, didn't feel like I fell asleep and started dreaming until like 2 am.
------------------------------------------
I have trouble falling asleep sometimes so I've been trying to go to bed for the past 2 hours or so and I started having this weird dream. My girlfriend and I (who have our own apartment) had a different apartment in the dream next to train tracks. Outside on the side of the apartment through the window I heard a weird noise and a train slowly came to a stop. In the dream it was night time but all of a sudden when I walked to the window the sky was on fire at a certain location and it looked as if a big solar flare went off.
Then the dream shifts a little bit and we are living in the 2 story house I grew up in. From the upstairs window I saw two people arguing or something and the door knocked so when I answered it random dialogue then the sky made a strange sound and it looked like space so to speak. The sky was black with stars but there were spots of colored gasses in the sky (oranges, reds, purples) everything was clam. All of a sudden the wind starts blowing like 100+ mph and I'm struggle to shut and lock the door and front windows. Everything was rattling and shaking. Now my dream got even weirder and I was swimming in a building with some type of prehistoric creatures as if it were Jurassic World but I remember that part of the dream looking animated. It didn't look real. Then my dream shifts again and My girlfriend and I are sleeping in our real apartment. I here a strange animal like noise that wouldn't stop but for some reason I thought it was my brother (he doesn't live with us I think that was just because my mind was transitioning from the dream). When I realized wait that can't be it I thought it was our rabbit and something was wrong but I couldn't move to get up. My body wouldn't move but slowly as I was regaining control I could make little movements in my fingers when I thought I saw something short that was all white run to the foot of our bed and the noise got louder. I couldn't really tell what it was but it looked kind of like a small child with a white sheet over them but it freaked me out and I was trying to jolt up, yell, and attack it but I couldn't move. I swear it felt like years while that thing just stood there making that strange sound and I couldn't move my body.
Finally I jolted up and there was nothing there. Sleep Paralysis is a very freaky powerless feeling.

I have it like every other night. The "looming man" is a frequent visitor. He just stands in the corner of my room, wearing a shawl made of complete darkness. His neck is so long that is extends up onto the ceiling and goes along the ceiling until his head is just hanging overtop of me.
