I have a hung jury, it's great!
I have a selection of other scout rifles (my favoured weapon type right now) I use for different types of encounter. I have a few pulse rifles, handcannon, and very few auto rifles that I also use.
I enjoy all of them. (but there's too much to infuse!)
It's refreshing to look into the gun cabinet and have a choice of what to take. pre-taken I think I used fang of ir yut all the time, ice breaker and black hammer a lot, and gjallerhorn far too much (ruin wings!).
I have a long way to go before I have a decent selection of heavies, but even now my loadout changes depending on the activity, and how I feel like playing. Inspecting the people I play with, it's the same for them too.
Still too early to judge, but so far removing elemental primary is proving to be a good decision.
In response to your argument that everyone is using hung jury, that is not my experience, even though I recommend it to everyone. If I accepted your premise as true, your solution to enable elements onto a legendary would therefore mean everyone using arc/void/solar hung jury.

Well said.

And I'm just over here making storms with my zhalo.

You have all those weapons 310+ yet? Because that's what I'm saying. You have one gun at the highest level that you'll use for end game stuff maybe a second but that's it. This doesn't involve Crucible either because that's always been more of a variety

Nope, I do not have everything at 310, still use lots of different guns. If by endgame you mean the raid, I use 3 or 4 different primaries, depending on my tasks at warpriest and golgoroth. If you mean Oryx, then it's touch of malice simply because it makes it easier for the rest of my group, who don't have the touch yet. Cocoon perk is great for sustained dps, due to no reload breaks. So raid weapons can be fun and effective if used in a certain style. But I have lots of options even though my most used primaries range 294 to 310. If you're being effective, the attack number just needs to be 'close enough' I'm not understanding your point though. If you're saying that attack number defines your best gun, then if you infuse it into your favourite, that is now your best gun due to highest attack. I don't think that is how it is, like I said, to me it is what suits my style and the situation, either way the result is greater variety. It's inconvenient, I've got one spare primary slot for engram collection, because I like too many guns. It's great because each character has their own loadout, I don't have to vault-swap the very best all-round gun because of so many options. Sorry for the long post, I don't even know if I responded adequately to your point...
