Pogs and tomogatchis I believe. I think it was in junior high when pokemon and magic the gathering started really getting popular. I want to say there was something else during 4-6 but I can't remember. I still have all my pogs and slammers somewhere too.

  • I remember those damn tomogochi or whatever they were. Seemed like every girl had one.

  • I think Furbys came right after too. I think they were even able to market tomogochis to both boys and girls, because I think I remember guys having them as well. On a side note, I find it funny that I got my first M rated game I think after I turned 18. Not because I was never allowed, but because there really was no M rated games until I was that age, and I never even had a console then either, just some gameboy stuff. So when I worked at a store that also sold video games, I'd always get a kick out of a kid wanting to buy call of duty or w/e.

  • Lol. I think first game I had to have my mom go up to the counter to buy was Mortal Kombat. I was only into video games so I couldn't say if guys had them or not. I'm pretty sure most guys in my school was just interested in sports or Star Trek lol
